About sanatorium

“Birkolik” Sanatorium-preventorium” Ltd. is located in Burgulik natural boundry, Tole bi rayon of South Kazakhstan oblast. Burgulik natural boundary is in the branches of the Tyan-Shan range at elevation of 1100 meters above sea level, 50km away from the oblast center – Shymkent city.

The Burgulik River runs along the natural boundry, over the stony bed, absorbing the vivifying strength of mountain springs. Its purest cold water feeds the exuberant greens of the natural boundry, air ionize the air, supplies freshness. Riotous greenery of the mountains, hawthorn, barberry, dog rose, apricot, apple brushwood, and lush coniferous species in the sanatorium park fill the air with phytoncides that has bacteriostatic affect. Altogether, the resort’s air has a stimulating effect on respiratory system, cardiovascular system, and toning effect on central nervous system, encourages eliminating soreness.

Collection of such facts as being located in the mountainous area, large amount of sunny days, moderate humidity, increased ionization of air, saturation with ozone ions allows to refer “Birkolik” Sanatorium-preventorium to mountainous climatic resorts.

Currently the Sanatorium has 2 modern bedroom buildings with the capacity of 200 places with cosy bright rooms for 2 – 3 people and separate cottages which is able to receive 50 people at the same time. The rooms have bathrooms with shower and hot water is provided all year along. There are lobbies for having rest on each floor which are equipped with TV and modern comfortable cushioned furniture.
